2018 offered winemakers an exceptional year. Russian River Valley had a long growing season with moderate temperatures. Sonoma encountered an increase in rainfall in the spring, with some notable heat spikes in mid-summer months. However, it was a mild summer which created tolerable conditions for fruit to mature slowly without additional heat stress. 2018 produced higher yields and pinot's produced in this vintage were nice in intensity and abundant. 5.4 Acres planted in 2007 There are 2 clones or pinot noir on our estate, Dijon 777 and Pommard. Each clone brings its own distinctive character to the wine. 777 is linear with bright red fruit and spice where the Pommard is more voluptuous with a broader, dark fruit profile.
