Vineyard Notes
Vineyard Notes
This extraordinary wine comes from Mountain grown Cabernet Sauvignon from 7 individual blocks from both the Rockpile and Branham Vineyards, nestled high in the Rockpile AVA. The grapes were harvested separately over 3 weeks starting in early October and each lot was vinified separately.
Paradise Ridge has been working with the same vineyard blocks for 20 years, which has built up and created a level of understanding that enabling us to work closely with the vineyard team to harvest the fruit at optimum levels of ripeness, allowing us to truly showcase the flavors of Rockpile.

As the above allures to – we develop and create this wine in the vineyard, and with careful and diligent handling at the winery produce several unique wines throughout fermentation process. These wines are then aged separately for the first 6 months allowing for individual character to evolve. The next stage of blending allows us almost limitless computations to make our ‘Elevation’ blend. But we strive for complexity and balance while at the same time showcasing that very special place ‘Rockpile’. The blending of Petite Verdot brings a pretty floral, a blue fruit component to the blend, while Malbec’s bright fruitiness and vibrance accentuates both the nose and palate.
